A waterproof PU leather notebook cover is made to handle everyday splashes, but it still looks best with gentle, consistent care. The goal is to remove oils and dirt without stripping the finish or forcing moisture into seams and edges.
Start by wiping the cover with a dry microfiber cloth to lift dust that could scratch the surface. For fingerprints or light marks, dampen a clean cloth with plain water, wring it out well, and wipe using light pressure. Finish by buffing dry with a second cloth so water doesn’t sit along stitching or corners.
If the cover has makeup, food residue, or grime near the spine, use a small drop of mild soap diluted in water (think gentle hand soap). Test in an inconspicuous spot first. Wipe the area with the diluted solution, then wipe again with a water-only cloth to remove any soap film, and dry immediately. If it gets wet, pat dry and let it air-dry fully while closed to protect pages, then open it later to let any trapped humidity escape. For patterned covers, keep sharp objects like keys away to prevent scuffs that can’t be “cleaned out.”
